HEY GOOGLE, MY CAMP CANCELLED. WHAT CAN I DO THIS SUMMER?
I’m sorry to hear that. Here’s what I found: start a new hobby (like yarn work or writing), or a new tv show (Lock and Key, The Haunting of Hill House, The Office), or just socially distance hang out with some friends.
HEY GOOGLE, WHAT ARE SOME GOOD BOOKS TO READ DURING SHABBOS AND CHAG?
Here are some top results: American Royals by Katherine McGee, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell, and We Were Liars by E. Lockhart.
Dear Rebbetzin Google,
I’m having a really hard time connecting with my friends during social distancing. I really miss them, but I can’t keep a steady stream of connection, and it feels really awkward texting them/face-timing them when we don’t see each other all day in school. Help!
I’m sorry to hear that. Some friendships, maybe like yours, have to be more physical and in person. Sometimes, there is more of a “you had to be there to see it” aspect in friendship. It is often easier to bond over everyday occurrences that you both experience as opposed to just tell or being told about it.
